This coalition of four agencies doesn't back off one inch in the face of abuse directed against women! They provide counseling, legal aid and crisis intervention services to victims of domestic and sexual violence directed against women, men, girls and boys. And they do it all in five languages: Hebrew, Arabic, Russian, Amharic (language of Ethiopian Jews) and English. “Each year the coalition's hotline serves some 8,000 citizens; its educational programs reach 12,000 folks. Reflecting the communities it serves, the leaders of the Haifa Women's Coalition include women and men, religious and secular, Jews, Muslims, Christians, Druze, Bedouin, FSU and Ethiopian immigrants of all ages and sexual orientations.” The coalition operates throughout Israel saving and transforming lives every day.
