What has a school of advanced Jewish learning in Israel to do with us here in the States? Its educator graduates teach in the Jewish communities of Chicago, Baltimore, Washington, Boston, San Francisco, Atlanta, New Jersey, Minneapolis, Toronto and more. We gain from whom they train.

Pardes maintains a learning center for Reform, Conservative, Reconstructionist, Orthodox and unaffiliated Jews. They do much more than just welcome all these folks into the school. The teaching there honors and supports the Jewish orientation each student brings with her/him. You don't have Orthodox students being taught that the Reform approach to text is correct and Orthodox is wrong. Nor do Reform Jews arrive only to learn that the Orthodox approach is right while Reform is wrong. Every orientation is known, respected and utilized in the course of learning!

At Pardes it is believed that “for education to be truly effective it has to penetrate into the depths of the soul of the student. The mind must be engaged and the heart must be engaged.” We believe that too and so Amcha for Tsedakah is engaged in assisting the work of Pardes.
