Interns For Peace

In the first Gulf War, several Arab villages inside Israel invited Jews from other villages and towns to come stay with them, where the scud missiles would not be aimed. The Arab villages that did so had all participated over the years in Interns For Peace programs. Through IFP, Arabs and Jews intern in each other's communities for six months at a time. It works! Now Interns For Peace has developed a program for going into schools, Jewish schools and Arab schools, where IFP runs powerful programs to teach each group the truth about the other. Uncorrupting young minds is a very tough task. If you believe someone has to try, be glad it is Interns For Peace!

In general the IFP proven method is that common action to achieve a shared task unites people to see each other's humanity and breaks down walls of suspicion, fear, distrust and hatred.

Scores of thousands of people have been reached by trained interns from this splendid organization! IFP also runs effective anti discrimination programs in New York City and in Bosnia and Central Africa!

Here is what Hisham Kullab, the IFP Palestinian Director wrote not long ago: “I go back to Gaza to be a civil hero. I am inspired by you (Jewish IFP) to be a factory of hope.”
