Since 1990, we have treated every penny contributed through us as holy money. The money is received, accounted for and distributed with the belief that we not only have to account for our actions to you, our auditors, the IRS, and our beneficiaries; but that we also have to account to God. Through all the years, from the day we came into being to this very moment and beyond: integrity, openness, trust, honesty remain our operational watchwords!

You control every cent of your contribution. We take not one penny to cover our modest operational expenses, unless you direct us to do so. And then we take the precise amount you allocate, nothing more!

100% of your gift gets where you want it to go. Period! You may allocate every bit of your contribution. You may allocate part of it and leave it to the board to allocate the rest. Or, you may leave the entire allocation to us. The choices are yours and yours alone.

When we hold a distribution meeting, the board does not first learn how much money our givers have allocated to each of the agencies. Doing so would give the board too much power and negate the impact of our contributors’ decisions. We distribute the unallocated funds without any knowledge whatever of the allocation totals. Only after we have divided the unallocated funds does the treasurer then notify the board about the total funds to be sent to each of our beneficiary agencies.

All of the more than thirty agencies to which we offer support are private non-profits. They prove again and again that they serve the most noble and compelling tsedakah purposes, and that they do so with efficiency and a commitment to pluralism. Your funds go to agencies comprised of visionary, great souls, grounded in the abiding values of the Jewish faith, toiling day and night on the front lines to save lives and safeguard our future. They are heroes who devote themselves to repairing our broken world and restoring it to wholeness.
